Description

This is a piece illustrating a brief history of the world Einsieng takes place in. I tried to duplicate some different mediums to varying degrees of success... This is a work in progress but I hope to have it done soon. Text boxes will be added once the segments are all detailed.

I am going to improve on the bas relief segment... it is a disaster currently.

Feedback is always welcome.

Peace

Starting with the cosmology is really cool, and I feel like you've captured the ethereal qualities that sort of representation should definitely have; it seems very disconnected from the actual world, though (which may well be intentional). The silhouetted section reminds me of that old PSP game Patapon, but in a good way. From what I can tell of this entire piece, after Einsieng was created, and life bred/diversified, there were more populous species of smaller creatures that either created a kind of golem/construct race or were related to larger beings that embodied different traits of the world or cosmos. Either way, it looks like there are three different gods and that different factions follow or embody each of them. Perhaps that seen symbolizes a war or some other great conflict? The bas relief panel looks like the formation of some kind of heavenly, or Asgard-like civilization that was established afterwords, but it wasn't as peaceful as originally hoped... The subsequent battle of the two polar god-figures ended in the fall of humanity, leaving them cast out of the heavenly city and onto Einsieng. The final two panels are, by far, your best and most-captivating. The hanging/falling drake, draped in humanoid bodies clinging to it, demands question, and the line map is very nicely done and well-textured. The only thing I notice on it, is that the very last country/island at the bottom seems to have been cut off. Anywho, that's my interpretation of the history you're trying to represent, and I'm looking forward to hearing the actual lore behind it. Hope the critique is helpful! -Kyle Blackston
